Here is an essay from one of the winners in another BikeTown city:

I have been a widow for almost 8 years.  It has taken me this long to decide to come back and join the living.  My 50th birthday is in May and I am looking forward to it because I am using that milestone day to leap forward and up out of the depression and chaos that has been my life since my darling husband passed away!  Here's to life!  Happy Birthday to me!!!
