"All Hail the Ale!" Night Ride on the Towpath Trail 2012

Century Cycles and our friends will brought the 2012 season of Night Rides on the Towpath Trail to a close with a ride to celebrate Cleveland Beer Week!
The ride began at 7:30pm from the parking lot of our store in Peninsula (1621 Main Street). We did our usual ride at a casual pace (not a race) for about 13 miles on the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail.
Riders enjoyed Oktoberfest-style snacks at the ride turn-around point - cheese, pretzels, sausages, beer nuts, and other salty delicacies - to fuel our ride back to The Winking Lizard and making us REALLY thirsty for some good beer!

Dress as your favorite beer!
Riders decorated themselves or their bikes in tribute to the event theme "All Hail the Ale!" While beer costumes were not required, they were highly encouraged. Those in costume had a chance to win prizes, plus they didn't have their beer loyalty questioned.
As an official Cleveland Beer Week event, participants in the "All Hail the Ale!" Night Ride were able to partake of the exclusive tapping of Sierra Nevada Brewing Company Best Bitter beer at The Winking Lizard in Peninsula, provided especially for the event.
BREWzilla Auction - Oct. 27
Century Cycles will also be making a donation to the silent auction to benefit the Malone Scholarship Fund at BREWzilla, the party that culminates Cleveland Beer Week. For a chance to bid on the bicycle and other auction items donated by local breweries and companies (plus enjoy more amazing beer), attend BREWzilla on October 27.
