Century Cycles Wins National Recognition

Rocky River, OH – Raleigh America, Inc. recognized Century Cycles, with locations in Rocky River, Solon, Medina, and Peninsula, as one of the top 25 Raleigh bicycle retailers nationwide by awarding the local bike chain with the Heron Council Top Retailer Award in March. The recognition was based on each dealer achieving the top 25 purchases and an increase purchased volume in 2004 vs. 2003, among nearly 2,000 U.S. Raleigh and Diamondback dealers.

This is the seventh straight year that Century Cycles has won the award, an honor held by only two other bicycle retailers in the United States.

Scott Cowan, co-owner of Century Cycles, accepted the award at a special ceremony in Acapulco, Mexico. It was presented by Raleigh America chairman Bill Austin and president Steve Meineke, who noted that Century Cycles represents the best in the Raleigh family and the best in the industry.

“This is a great honor for us, one that we could not have achieved without our top-notch staff,” said Cowan.

Raleigh America, Inc., based in Kent, Wash., is one of the world’s leading suppliers of road, mountain, comfort, BMX, and recreational bicycles, parts, and accessories. For more information, visit www.raleighamerica.com.
